About

The BCS membership consists of veterans and family members of a veteran, living or deceased who want to be a part of a brotherhood to honor veterans. All BCS members possess a deep appreciation for our veterans ant the love of our great country.

A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his of her life, wrote a "BLANK CHECK" made payable to the 'United States of America', for an 'amount up to and including their life.'

The Blank Check Society of America, Inc. has its National Headquarters in Hilliard Florida.

The"Grim Reaper" is an established local military icon. On 1 May 1952, VF-101 was commissioned at NAS Cecil Field, Florida.  This new squadron assumed the nickname and traditions of the previous Grim Reapers from WWI and flew combat missions in the Korean War.  Later in 1957, VF-101 was assigned to the Carrier Air Group 7 aboard the USS Saratoga (CVA-60).  Our Reaper distinctly holds "the hour glass of life" and is a direct correlation to the "Cashing in" or "Expiration" of a check written in the "Blood of Patriots".

The Blank Check Society (BCS) will honor all veterans graves, both US and Confederate. The BCS places the American Flag on ALL veterans graves. Several years ago, Congress passed a bill declaring that all Confederate Veterans are now considered American Veterans and deserve to have the American Flag placed on their graves.  The BCS will diligently search for and locate cemeteries and veterans graves that have been neglected or ignored, for whatever reason, by other organizations.  The BCS may provide an escort for the funeral of fallen veterans at no cost to the family.
